Cancelation conditions

Refunding is possible if the cancelation arrives at Helsinki Bed and Breakfast prior to your arrival as follows:

(a) more than 21 days: you will be refunded 80% of the total sum deducted by 30€,

(b) 21-7 days: as in (a) if the host can be offered another guest, otherwise 40% of the total will be refunded,

(c) less than 7 days: as in (a) if the host can be offered another guest, otherwise no refunding can be guaranteed but we will assist you in communicating with your travel insurance company.

Changes

You are welcome to change your reservation before arrival as follows:

(a) One change of dates, if possible at the same host: without expenses up to 7 days before arrival, and after that like a cancelation and a new reservation.

(b) Change of host either due to your wish or as a consequence of your date change: normally like a cancelation and a new reservation.

(c) Name change: always possible with a fee of 30€/change.

In the above, the concept of "day" means a period of 24 hours.

You are welcome to extend your stay after your arrival. It will simply be like a new reservation. Please contact us at sleep@hbb.fi.

Early departure

If you need to leave earlier than planned and shorten your stay after your arrival, you will be refunded 80% of the price of the remaining days if the host can be offered a new guest. Otherwise no refunding can be guaranteed but we will assist you in communicating with your travel insurance company if needed.

Rights and responsibilities

The guest has a right to the accommodation and services agreed at the time of the reservation. The guest needs to respect the host and their home. The guest is also fully responsible for any damages or extra cleaning not included in the normal weekly routine. The guest has no right to let any outsiders access the home without the permission of the host.

Helsinki Bed and Breakfast (HBB) is responsible for assessing the suitability of every listed home with respect to accommodation conditions and the correctness of information. HBB also takes care of the secure transfer of payments and refunds. HBB is responsible for offering the guest all possible help should the host be forced to cancel a secured reservation due to force majeure circumstances.

The host is responsible for offering the agreed accommodation and services and for respecting the guest and their view of life, religion and sexual orientation. The host is also responsible for informing the guest as well as HBB about any changes in previously given details.
